Fresh Ink Juried Print Show

WONDER FAIR’S annual juried print show features the work of exemplary, hot-blooded, inky-finger’d, muscly-armed printmakers. Now in its third year, the renamed Fresh Ink exhibition is a manifestation of Wonder Fair’s foundational purpose: to establish Lawrence as a preeminent center for creative print culture in the United States, and to highlight the importance of printed matter in the world entire. We are pleased to welcome Katie Baldwin as our juror for this year.

AWARD/SALES

Sales from national juried show will be divided between the artist and Wonder Fair 50/50. Juror’s Award: one work will named best in show for a $250 cash prize.

PROCEDURE

Entrants may submit up to three (3) images of original works completed in the last three years (2013 – 2016). Selections will be made from digital images in the form of jpeg files (maximum files dimension of eight inches in image size — maximum resolution of 300 dpi) – no slides.

Files must be submitted electronically through our online submission form. Submission by mail or email will not be accepted. Files should be saved as last name_title.jpeg (e.g., Nakamura_Still_Life_ Explosion.jpeg).

Image list should include: Title, Media, Date, Dimensions and designated sale price or “NFS”.

June 1, 2016: final submissions due, Entry: $20

2nd New York International Miniature Print Exhibition at Manhattan Graphics Center

The Manhattan Graphics Center (MGC) announces its 2nd juried competition and exhibition devoted to miniature prints. Last year, 270 artists from over 35 countries submitted work to this exhibition, bringing together a diverse representation of the print world today.

 The 2nd New York International Miniature Print Exhibition will take place from November 1-December 18, 2016 at our printmaking studio’s gallery with an opening reception during IFPDA Print Week in New York, November 5, 2016.

Stand Out Prints 2016: Juried International Print Exhibition


Stand Out Prints
 is an international juried print exhibition organized by Highpoint Center for Printmaking in Minneapolis.

Non-traditional or digital output is accepted as a print element, however eligible submissions must utilize at least one traditional print media technique (Lithography, Relief, Intaglio, Screenprinting, Monotype).

9th International Triennial of Small Graphic Forms (Vilnius, Lithuania)

Each author is entitled to send no more than 6 works that have been created since 2013;
Any graphic techniques including digital printing will be accepted. Works created by the monotype technique and with the use of copying equipment will be not accepted;
Works must be not framed or matted;
Prints must be signed. The name of the author, name of the work, technique, year of creation, dimensions must be eligibly indicated on the reverse side of the print;
The paper size of the print must not exceed the fixed dimensions of 30 x 22 cm;
The works that are not in conformity with these requirements will be no accepted;

A comprehensive catalogue of the exhibition will be published. Participants of the exhibition will receive this catalogue free of charge.

The deadline for the payment is 31 July 2016; 15 euro entry fee

Tripping the Light Fantastic: Excellence in Photography

Cotuit Center for the Arts, one of the most dynamic year-round cultural institutions on Cape Cod, seeks photography for its July 2016 show, “Tripping the Light:  Excellence in Photography.”  $5500 in cash prizes.  The juror is famed Rowland Scherman, whose work has appeared in Life, Look, National Geographic, and Time, among many others.

RedLine – Drawing Never Dies

Drawing Never Dies will survey the range of drawing taking place today. Approaches m3357ay span from minimal to maximal, meticulous to messy, monumental to miniature. From commonplace and traditional materials such as graphite and pens on paper, to drawing on the surface of the earth, to artists working with technology such as 3d pen drawings in space or forms intended for experience on the screen; we are interested in a broad/expansive survey of drawing now.
